A. FRANK JOHNS is the prinicpal partner of Booth Harrington & Johns, North Carolina’s First Elder Law Firm, with offices in Charlotte and Greensboro, North Carolina. Mr. Johns is a nationally recognized elder law, guardianship and special needs trust attorney. He is a member of NAELA (National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys), North Carolina and American Bar Associations, ACTEC, Society of Financial Service Professionals and the Alzheimer’s Association – Western Carolina Chapter, where he served as President from 2005-2007.
Mr. Johns is an active member of NAELA-CAP (Council of Advanced Practitioners) and served as the Chair of the Steering Committee from 2006-2007. He was elected to the North Carolina Bar Elder Law Section Council in 2007 and serves as Vice President for the Senior Resources of Guilford County. He is a published author, including books and articles, and was cited as a contributing research expert in the new book, Why Wills Won’t Work. His specialized area of practice include: Elder Law, Guardianship, Disabilities, Special Needs Trusts, Education Law, Fiduciary Liability, and Litigation and Ethics.
